カイコを用いた新たな産業としての「養蚕業の復興」を目指します

株式会社シルクルネッサンスは沖縄高専発のバイオベンチャーとして、カイコ無細胞タンパク質合成系および新規高分子セリシン等の実用化による「創薬支援事業」、「再生医療支援事業」を立ち上げることにより、創薬研究や再生医療研究の活性化を図ることを目的としています。
また、それらを通じて、沖縄県の創薬拠点化形成に貢献いたします。

将来は創薬事業への進出を

中長期的な目標として、カイコ無細胞タンパク質合成系を基盤とした創薬企業への移行を図っていきます。
具体的には、カイコ無細胞タンパク質合成敬の迅速合成が可能であるというメリットを活かしたパンデミック時の緊急措置用インフルエンザワクチン等のタンパク質性医薬品を製造する創薬事業への進出を10年以内に具体化していきます。

Silk Renaissance Co., Ltd. is a bio-tech venture company originating from Okinawa National College of Technology.
We aim for activating various drug discovery and regenerative medicine research projects performed by pharmaceutical companies and academia by promoting our "Protein manufacturing business" and "Regenerative medicine support business" using our original silkworm cell-free protein synthesis system and protein polymer, sericin.

Expanding into drug discovery business in the future.

Our mid- to long-term goal is to transition to a pharmaceutical company based on the silkworm cell-free protein synthesis system.
Specifically, within 10 years, we intend to enter the drug discovery business to produce protein-based medicines, such as influenza vaccines for emergency measures in the event of a pandemic, by taking advantage of the rapid synthesis capability of the silkworm cell-free protein synthesis system.
